Player Comparison Creator Updated!

• Compare up to 7 players now! Try it now!
• Every medal & weapon is included for both ranked and social
• Per Game stats for all medals & weapons are also included now
• Its much easier to scroll down the stats and not lose track of who you are looking at.
• I've been working on this one for a little while, so I'm glad its finally out. Let me know what you think!

200,000 Players Tracked!

• It has taken just about a year exactly for the site to reach 200,000 tracked players. Here's to another 200,000!
• Team SWAT games are now included in the "most ranked" section on player pages (for supporters). This includes Most kills in a game, Most headshots in a game, etc. The Team SWAT games that are included are ranked and not the social variant that was once available.
• New video posted on the Videos page.

Group Calendars

• There is a new calendar system available for each group created here. The owner of the group can add events for other members to see. I've had quite a few requests for this and I'm glad I can finally add it to the site.
• The top of the Group List page now has a list of featured groups, which are groups that I feel help improve the community we have here at HaloCharts. There are 2 featured at the moment.
• Admins (red) and Prophets (blue) are now highlighted in the online lists on the front page and the forum.

• On the Playlist Leaderboards, there is a new 'All' option to show you who leads in EXP and which Playlist.
• Forum Ranks now show on player pages
• If you're a Supporter, you will now see a Playlist Effectiveness and Games Total in the Playlist Progression Breakdown. You'll need to Collect Player Data for it to show up.
• Also, note that it could be lower right now since EXP hasn't been logging correctly on Xbox Live. I'm still not sure if that has been completely fixed or not. I noticed last night that I was getting EXP every other game.
• Team Snipers EXP Leaderboard is up!
• Added some much-needed pagination to the Groups page.

Why HaloCharts was down

• You probably noticed the site was down last night from around 9pm till this morning around 7:30am. I had a table in the database collapse pretty much into a non-repairable state. So in order to get the site back up I had to revert to a backup of the table. Don't worry though, no stats were lost.
• Now to explain why the table failed the way it did: this happened because the load on the server and database the past few days has been too high. Basically, something like 15,000 people have viewed their page and in turn caused it to be updated to the new format. Each time this happens a bunch of processing goes on to determine different stats and ranks for that player. To determine a player's rank for each weapon & medal across ranked, social and overall totals and per game takes over 600 queries to the database. Take this number times the 15,000 and the database has already received over 9 million queries in the last few days.
• So, in order to let the load go back down, I changed the player page ranks to be a Supporters-only feature. I hated to have to do this, but its a similar issue I faced back when I first started loading games for players.
• Now, you can still be on the leaderboards! The only difference is that your player page ranks won't show up if you're not a supporter.

210 New Goal Types added!!!

• The Goal system now has available goals for all weapons & medals, both social and ranked!
• This is a very big update, so please let me know if there are any problems with the goals.
• There were some problems at first, but I think I have them all fixed. If you had trouble adding the new goal types, or if you were seeing your current goals disappear, see if all is correct now.
• The Goal Stats page has bee updated to include the new goal types.

Playlist EXP Leaderboards are Up!!!

• The Playlist Progression EXP Leaderboards are up now. Just go to Leaderboards and use the bottom-most selector to choose the playlist you want to see.
• Since boosting is being cracked down on, I lowered the requirements for the EXP Effectiveness Awards. It is now Bronze: 60%, Silver: 70%, Gold: 80%, Gold Star: 90%.
• I found a nice little bug that was slowing the whole site down, but I fixed it this morning. I've already noticed the speed increase!
• I fixed the total headshots, medals and assists ranks. The leaderboards for these have also been fixed. Its going to take a few more days before they are completely populated again though.
• There's a new Message link on all posts in the forum. It says [PM] which stands for Private Message. This is so you can quickly send messages without having to first go to a player's page.

New Leaderboards are Up!!!

• I finally finished the new & improved leaderboards page.
• I reorganized the look and feel of the page and included a Leaderboard picker for all of the weapon & medal leaderboards. This helps clean up the look & feel of the page a lot.
• The Leaderboards page now included every weapon & medal for both totals and per game across Ranked, Social and Overall.
• You also can use the Rank filters and Location filters with all of the new leaderboards.
• Group leaderboards should still work the same with this new system. Just go to a group, click View Group Leaderboards and then select the leaderboard you want to look at from either the listed leaderboard links or the weapon & medal leaderboard picker
• Please let me know if you see ANY problems with the new Leaderboards system. This is quite a change from the way I used to do it, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bug or two. Thanks!

• I found out earlier that there was a bug getting all of the playlist progression stats, but this has been fixed now. Next time your page updates you should see all of your playlists and exp. If you're a supporter go ahead and recollect your data and it will show up.

• Two new percentages: Weapons Used & Medals Received
• The Weapons Used percentage is based on kills with each weapon, not just if you've picked up and fired the weapon or not.

New Player Pages are Up!!!

• After 8 days of recoding, the new HaloCharts Player pages are up! They contain a lot of little tweaks and a lot of big additions. When you first try to load your page it will update your stats to the new format.
• Here's what's new:
  • COMPLETE Medal Chest Data
  • COMPLETE Weapon Breakdown Data
  • Weapons & Medals now show Totals and Per Game numbers for Ranked Social and Overall
  • Weapons & Medals can be sorted by any of the columns you see.
  • Each row in the stat grid will highlight when you mouse moves over it to help you focus on that weapon or medal.
  • All weapons & medals show the stat followed by your rank on HaloCharts for that weapon or medal. At first ranks will be somewhat inaccurate, but as more pages update the ranks will become accurate. Soon these ranks will highlight when you are on the leaderboard.
  • There is a new Playlist Progression breakdown, including where you rank against the rest of HaloCharts. Again, this rank will become more accurate over time.
  • I added a new 'Top 250 Players you've played with' list
• There are probably going to be kinks with some of the new stuff I've released. If you see anything, please send me a message or an email.
• I've still got some work to do with the Leaderboards, Goals and Player Comparisons, so hang tight on those.
• I've got some other cool things I'll be adding to the new player pages soon.
• Whew.... that's all for now!

• The new player pages are pretty much done, but haven't been released yet. They have been tested by a group of people and some of the feedback is still being processed. I'm doing my best to get it out soon though.
• When everything is done, there's going to be over 600 leaderboards on the site and you'll be able to easily tell if you're on the leaderboard or not. I'm excited about the changes, but I don't want to release it all until its tested.

• You can enter your birthday on your profile now. Just click My Account and fill it in if you'd like. It will show on an upcoming birthdays list that I should have up shortly. Idea from SticKyMastaG2
• A Birthdays this Month list is now visible at the bottom of the Forum

• I added another requirement to the forum ranks system. You have to have 10 points now before you can click "Great post" on posts made. This is to help prevent cheating (which has already started and I know who you are!)
• Also, the all new HaloCharts Favorites is now accepting entries. For more information, click the graphic below:

• New awards for Grenade Sticks
• Added multi high skill awards for 40 & 45. These will now both go up to 7x.
