Here is the set of rules that you need to follow when doing things on Halocharts whether it be posting in our forums using the chat boxes or the shout box. Basically these rules apply to the entire site in some form or fashion. Every member is expected to follow them if you don't follow these rules you will have to deal with the consequences.
Listed here are the general rules you need to follow when using any section of the Halocharts forums and the rules you need to follow when using the chatbox. These rules are pretty simple, you will usually be issued a warning if your are spotted by staff breaking the rules. If you continue breaking the rules after a warning you will then be issued an appropriate ban (first time offenses usually land a 1 week ban and progress from there). If you get enough warnings and bans or you just continue breaking the rules on a regular basis you risk being permanently banned from this site. In order to make your time in the forums and chats pleasant it is best to follow the rules from the start.
NOTE: A warning from the Halocharts staff is merely a common courtesy. By no means should anyone expect that the staff are obliged to you give you a warning before issuing any type of ban. The staff posses the right to issue any type of ban to a player in the wrong.
So if you get banned without warning don't say you weren't told so because you will just be re-directed right back to this page.
1. Keep the language at a PG level at all times in the forums and the chats. Each moderator and administrator will be using their own discretion to determine what language is appropriate and whats not appropriate on the forums and in the chats.
2. No posts or discussions about any illegal activities, this includes the sale of Xbox Live accounts.
3. These forums are not a place to post things you may have for sale. Please head over to craigslist or ebay if you would like to sell something.
4. In order to keep flame wars to a minimum please take any personal disputes that you may have to personal messages, we don't want to see them on our forums or in the chats.
5. No suggestive images or discussions of any kind in the forums or chat.
6. No posting links to malicious downloads or software in the forums or chat.
7. No threads or having discussions requesting or offering boosting, modding or cheating anywhere.
8. Don't ask for a rank or GP score or boost it. You will earn score and your rank by making quality posts and contributions in the forums, not by asking for it.
9. Do not make forum posts or ask in the chats for salutes. If people respect you they will salute you.
10. Do not make forum posts asking to be sponsored to become a supporter.
11. Do not come into our forums impersonating other members, if you are caught doing this you will be met with an immediate ban from the website.
12. Forum or chat discussion about RELIGION, POLITICS, DRUGS or ALCOHOL is not allowed.
13. Forum posts or discussions that target individual players in a NEGATIVE manner are not allowed anywhere on the public sections of the Halocharts website.
14. If your making a forum post that contains any type of spoiler please make it aware in the thread title.
15. Forum signatures are restricted to being ONE static image that can not be larger than 600x150 pixels. No flashing images or text is allowed either. You are limited to have only ONE line of text and the size of that text can not be larger then forum size 15. Your signature will be reset if you break this rule.
16. If you are new to the website please read through the 'When Making A New Topic' thread located in the forums sticky section or the Halocharts video tutorial series before posting.
17. NO SPAMMING. This will earn you an instant ban from the forums or chats.
18. BE NICE!
The SHOUT box that is located on the home page of the website is meant for brief shout outs, good games, congratulations and things of that nature. It is not a place to hold conversations and talk with your friends. Make your shout out and move on. All other site rules also apply to the SHOUT box. Anything in the SHOUT box that is in violation of these terms and rules can be deleted without notification to you and you can be banned from the SHOUT box by staff members without notice or especially after being given a warning from a staff member. If you abuse the SHOUT box you will loose all privilege of public chatting features on the Halocharts.com website.
